What is Group Training?
The Group Training concept has been around since the early 1980's, and has shown
spectacular growth over the last 10 years. The concept is a fairly simple one.
Apprentices are employed by the Group Training company (say TAPS) and then hired
out to qualified employers for an agreed period of time.

What are the advantages to you?
When hiring an apprentice from TAPS the hiring period is very flexible, it can
be as short as one week, or as long as four years. You are guaranteed quality
apprentices. There is regular on-site monitoring of apprentices to ensure all
of the competencies are covered as required by the industry competency standards.

You only have to deal with one organisation - TAPS.
You have the flexibility to have an apprentice when you want, where you want
and for how long you want. All administration and statutory requirements are
taken care of by TAPS including:

PAY Tax
|
|
Superannuation
|
|
|
Public Holidays
|
|
TAFE attendance
|
|
|
Sick Leave
|
|
Annual leave and leave loading
|
|
|
ARC Registration including the Contract of Training
|
|
|
Workcover, including any claims management and investigation
|
|
|
Long Service Leave registration and return
|
|
|
Safety clothing and accessories
|
|
|
What more could you ask for?...
The fact that TAPS is a non-profit organisation means it can keep it's on-costs
to an absolute minimum...
AND REMEMBER if you use any other group training organisation your training
dollar goes out of the industry. By hiring an apprentice/trainee from TAPS your
training dollar stays in the Plumbing Industry.
