Age and schooling

You need to be at least 16 years old and at TAPS we require you to have at least completed year 11 with a satisfactory pass in Math and English.

Pre Vocational Course

TAPS encourages applicants to successfully complete the Pre Vocational Course held at Regency or Noarlunga TAFE in South Australia to increase the chances of gaining an Apprenticeship.

Certificate in Vocational Education (Pre Vocational) Plumbing

Location: Regency Campus

Award: On successful completion of the course the student will attain an accredited Certificate in Vocational Education (Plumbing)

Duration: 6 months (full time)

Course Information: The objective of the course is to increase the student’s chances of employment or to qualify for an Apprenticeship.

Entry requirements:

  • SACE Stage 1 or equivalent (preferred)
  • Completion of technology studies an advantage
  • SACE Stage 1 or equivalent (preferred)
  • Completion of technology studies an advantage
  • Good communication skills
  • Students are selected and short listed from results of an entry test and formal interview.
